Dental Implants provide a foundation for replacement teeth. Implants look, feel and function like natural-looking teeth. If you’ve lost your teeth you can regain the ability to eat anything again. Smile with confidence again with your new natural-looking pearly whites.
The implants themselves are tiny titanium posts. Your dentist places them into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium. This bonding creates a strong foundation for artificial teeth. In addition, dental implants help preserve facial structure and prevent bone deterioration. Both which often occur when teeth are missing.
Dental implants are changing the way people live! They’re rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, and enjoy life again.
Dental implants provide many advantages such as:
With this many benefits, it’s no wonder implants are a sought after cosmetic procedure. Getting implants provides both physical and psychological benefits.

If implants are the right choice for you, there are certain steps needed in the process. First is a dental/radiographic examination and health history. During these consultation visits, Dr. Rhonda Kalasho will address your specific needs. Addressing in conjunction with an oral surgeon or periodontist referred by our practice. Your questions and concerns are important to us. Our team at GLO Modern Dental will work with you intimately to help make your procedure a success.
Dental implants are like metal anchors. They act as tooth root substitutes. The dentist places them surgically into your jawbone. Next is placing the small posts called “abutments” onto the implant. These posts provide stable anchors for artificial replacement teeth called “crowns.”
Placement of your implants involves two surgical procedures. First is placing the implants within your jawbone. For the first 3 to 6 months post-surgery, the implants are beneath the surface of the gums. They will be gradually bonding with the jawbone. During bonding, you will be able to wear temporary dentures and eat a soft diet during this time. Concurrently, your restorative dentist designs the final bridge or denture. This final piece will ultimately improve both your function and aesthetics.
When the implant bonds completely to the jawbone, the second phase begins. The dentist uncovers the implants and attach a small healing collar. Dr. Kalasho, dentist in Hollywood, can then start making your new teeth. This step involves taking an impression. Then the abutments can connect to the implants. The replacement teeth cover over the abutments. This entire procedure usually takes several months for completion.
